Waverider Management Company

The Waverider Management Company coordinates the management of the Waverider Collection of residences on behalf of the Member-Owners of Waverider and rental guests. We have a dedicated team of individuals to coordinate your vacation rentals and activities for you, your family and your friends. The team is comprised of experienced travelers and surfers who know what it takes to create an amazing surf trip.

The Management Team

Founder & CEO - Mark Taylor: A proven entrepreneur offering 20+ years of experience in lifestyle marketing, sales, client service, project management and event production. Mark Taylor has produced over 300 international sports & entertainment events. A lifelong surfer, Mark was inspired to launch Waverider after years of surf travel and exploration seeking the ideal model of surf-based real estate and travel experiences. After two years of extensive research, business development and building a team, Mark is proud to roll out Waverider for all to share in - whether an investor or a guest renting one of the Waverider residences.

VP Guest & Membership Services – Greg Warnick: Greg hales from Palos Verdes, California and is a life-long surfer and explorer of surf destinations. Greg's surf adventures started with living on the North Shore of Hawaii, as a founding explorer of Vancouver Island's west coast surf scene and then living in Australia for 12 years – from 1974 to 1986. That experience has led to his successful, surf-based property development and property management program called LuxurySurf.com. Greg has become an owner and management member of Waverider through agreements that have led to the acquisition of two residences located in Punta Mita and J-Bay.

VP Marketing – Ian MacLeod: Ian began his business career in the resort industry, initially at Whistler, B.C. with Intrawest Corporation, managing part of the Whistler Mountain Ski School, and later in sales & marketing with the real estate division. Ian was Sales Director of Club Intrawest and later a Real Estate Launch Specialist with Sapera (Intrawest's predecessor to Playground) working on projects in Whistler, California and BC. In 2001, Ian established his own real estate sales & marketing business - now called Globe One Real Estate Services - focused on lifestyle and vacation marketing with projects first in Canada (Victoria, Pender Island, Kelowna, Big White Ski Resort, Predator Ridge Golf Resort, Okanagan Golf Club and Silver Star Ski Resort) and then managing major resort projects in Seattle, Washington, Los Angeles, California and Kona, Hawaii. Many of his real estate endeavours have successfully resulted in project sell-outs. Through his extensive work in Hawaii and California, Ian has caught the surf bug and he brings to Waverider the ideal mix of work and play.

Guest & Member Program Manager – Paula Blanchet: With a career in client service, event management, VIP planning combined with extensive international travel, Paula is an ideal manager to oversee our on-the-ground teams in each location as well as ensure each property is outfitted ideally for our guests and member-owners. Paula is married to Mark Taylor, so from years of accompanying Mark on surf trips and from years of traveling with a committed surfer, she has the experience to create the services and programs needed to satisfy those not as experienced in the water. Paula has experienced the softer and friendlier waves of many of the Waverider locations on her world travels.
